Sungjee's practice is concentrated in the area of insurance litigation and insurance counseling. Her practice is primarily focused upon insurance bad faith and coverage matters, and includes the defense of claims arising from the inadvertent destruction of evidence, also known as spoliation.

In the area of insurance counseling, Sungjee provides insurers with advice regarding Medicare/CMS reporting requirements and rights of recovery. She also assists insurers in drafting correspondence and discovery, advising about best practices, and interpreting federal policy statements.

Prior to joining Coddington, Hicks & Danforth in 2009, Sungjee's practice included complex insurance coverage, construction defect, commercial business and personal injury litigation.

Sungjee has extensive experience in all aspects of pre-trial litigation, including taking and defending high level depositions, written discovery, dispositive motions and trial preparation. Her attention to detail and case management skills make her an invaluable asset to our firm. Sungjee is also conversational in Korean.

While in law school, Sungjee was honored with the Warren Family Endowment Scholarship for her academic achievements and efforts in diversity. She also served as a full-time extern for the Honorable Gregory Alarcon, Judge of the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
