Andrew P. Collier is an associate attorney whose practice focuses on insurance law, including bad faith litigation and coverage issues, as well as casualty defense. Before joining the firm, Mr. Collier’s practice included representation of bankruptcy trustees in chapter 7 and chapter 11 proceedings. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. Collier enjoyed careers as a high school teacher and in insurance claims.

Mr. Collier received his Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in Philosophy from St. Joseph’s College in 1986. He earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2004, graduating with the highest GPA in his class. During law school, he received the Dean’s Scholarship for academic merit, and received CALI Awards for Excellence in Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, and Marine Insurance. During his final semester, he was a full time extern for the Honorable Ming W. Chin, Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court.

Mr. Collier was admitted to the California Bar in 2004. He is also admitted to practice before the federal district courts of the Northern and Eastern Districts of California. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of San Francisco.
