Lisa A. Costello Associate Lisa A. Costello is a senior associate whose practice focuses primarily upon complex insurance coverage and insurance bad faith disputes arising out of claims made under commercial general liability and personal liability insurance policies. In addition, Ms. Costello has represented a variety of businesses, including amusement theme parks and public entities, in personal injury, premises liability, products liability, and toxic tort claims and lawsuits. Ms. Costello has handled many complex matters, including prominent and highly publicized wrongful death actions and products liability cases involving technically sophisticated and unique structures. She has also represented clients in cases in which sensitive issues of privacy and constitutional rights were involved. She has experience in all phases of litigation, including trial and appellate matters. Since 2007, Ms. Costello has been an invited speaker at the University of California’s Continuing Education of the Bar programs on topics relating to civil litigation and trial. She has served as a court appointed arbitrator in San Mateo and Santa Clara County since 2000. Ms. Costello received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992 from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She received her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the New England School of Law in Boston. While in law school, Ms. Costello served as Senior Technical Coordinating Editor for the New England Law Review. She is a member of the San Mateo County Bar Association and the Santa Clara County Bar Association.
