Kathryn C. Klaus Associate Kathryn C. Klaus is an associate attorney whose practice is primarily focused upon complex insurance coverage and insurance bad faith disputes. The scope of her practice has required her to be admitted pro hac vice in several states. She has been responsible for coordination of the defense of complex litigation in several jurisdictions and has managed enormous volumes of materials necessary for the litigation of these cases. Ms. Klauss practice has extended beyond insurance matters as well. She has been extensively involved with aviation, products liability, and public entity litigation. She has litigated a number of these cases successfully as the responsible attorney. She has also authored several appellate briefs. Ms. Klaus is thoroughly involved in the firms private and public lecturing activities. She regularly prepares curricula for and participates in private presentations for the firms clients as well as public lectures. These presentations have included such topics as extracontractual liability for aviation insurance carriers, regulatory issues, and insurance bad faith. Ms. Klaus received her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1995 in Environmental Studies. She received her Juris Doctor with distinction from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1999. In law school, Ms. Klaus was a recipient of the Verne and Annabelle McGeorge Scholastic Achievement Scholarship. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable David A.
