David W. Wessel is a member of the firm who has specialized in the representation of insurers in complex cases involving issues of coverage and allegations of bad faith. He represents clients in these matters both in the trial and appellate courts throughout California. Mr. Wessel has also provided training to insurance company representatives in the handling of insurance claims, including “out of state” claims.

Mr. Wessel has extensive experience in defending products liability and personal injury cases. He counsels businesses with respect to insurance, employment and contract issues. He has represented theme park owners and operators in personal injury actions involving suspended roller coasters, inverted roller coasters, giant swings and water rides.

Mr. Wessel is a member of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada, the American Bar Association and various local bar associations.

A 1975 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Mr. Wessel received a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude. He studied at the graduate level at the University of South Dakota, the University of Wisconsin and Vanderbilt University (George Peabody’s Teachers College) before serving in the Peace Corps from 1977 through 1980. Mr. Wessel obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1983 from the University of Wisconsin.
