Transportation and trucking accidents have a variety of causes

Traffic accidents do not stop for Christmas or any other holidays. In addition, transportation and trucking accidents contain factual configurations that are endlessly different from day to day. For example, on this past Christmas Day, an electrician's F-350 work truck went off the southbound lane of Highway 99 in Madera, crashed through a foot-wide concrete wall protecting a rock business, took down a chain fence and crashed onto the property, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Potential for new law mandating truck side guards

Have you ever thought about the mechanics of a collision between a car and a tractor-trailer? It's a gruesome thing to consider. Frequently, it plays out like this: a car crashes into a large truck from the side. Because the truck has considerably more ground clearance than a car, the car slides underneath the truck, slicing off the top of the car and often severely injuring or decapitating its passengers.

FAA requires drone registration, once again

On December 13, 2017, President Trump signed a bill that reinstated the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) drone registry requirement. As a part of the National Defense Authorization Act, if you own a drone weighing between 0.55 and 55 pounds, you'll now need to register your aircraft.

Flying drones near California wildfires prohibited by FAA

The recent outbreak of wildfires ravaging Southern California has made for some stunning imagery. Across the web, photos and video capturing these unruly blazes have gone viral depicting what is often a breathtaking scene. These once-in-a-lifetime shots can be enticing for amateur and professional photographers alike, and you may think this is a perfect occasion to use a drone for aerial shots. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) disagrees.
