Christy’s practice is concentrated in the areas of insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. She also has experience in complex commercial litigation, including construction, toxic tort, and mold litigation.
Christy advises insurers regarding compliance with regulations involving claims handling practices, fraud investigations, roadside assistance programs and training requirements. She also provides advice to insurers, including drafting policy provisions, policy and procedure guidelines and standardized letters in order to ensure regulatory compliance. In addition, she regularly represents insurers in responding to Department of Insurance inquiries and proceedings.
Responsible for all aspects of litigation, Christy is skilled in discovery, law and motion practice, preparation of dispositive pleadings and trial. She also assists with the preparation of seminars and presentations to clients and the public on various areas of the law, including insurance coverage, fraud, insurance bad faith and regulatory compliance.
