Jodie is an experienced litigation attorney and has represented private clients and insurance companies both as in-house and outside counsel from inception through trial and post-trial matters. Her practice areas primarily focus on insurance bad faith, contract and catastrophic personal injury.
In her various roles, Jodie has always received accolades from adjusters, attorneys and clients on case handling. With her extensive experience, Jodie has developed a positive reputation among her colleagues and clients for resolving cases early through negotiation and motion practice. She has been lead counsel on trials, prepared for countless others and has handled numerous mediations and arbitrations. She is a member of the Association of Defense Counsel for Northern California and Nevada, and she has had articles published for the Defense Research Institute.
Prior to joining Coddington, Hicks & Danforth, Jodie worked for a major insurance company as the first trial attorney in Northern California handling complex litigation cases over the entire Bay Area. Jodie also has experience as a plaintiff’s attorney giving her a unique perspective on case handling from both sides. In addition to being licensed to practice law in California, Jodie is also licensed to practice law in New York, where she was born and raised.
